Shoyu Chicken

1 cup shoyu (soy sauce)
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 cloves garlic-mashed
grated fresh ginger
2 1/2 lbs. chicken thighs or wings
Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Mix well & add chicken pieces. Boil 1 hour or until tender.
Serve with rice & the sauce.
